Filmic craft, artistic approaches and comprehensive technical and theoretical expertise: This is what the seven-semester Bachelor's programme Motion Pictures teaches in an attractive and future-oriented education. In the process, the students acquire the skills necessary in the film and television industry in creative workshops with a practical orientation. The professional equipment at the Dieburg media campus with modern camera and sound technology as well as a film studio and an cinema enables students to gain a wide range of experience. Perspective

Graduates with a Bachelor's degree have a whole range of job opportunities open to them. In the field of film and video, they work from the artistic-creative to the industrial sector, contributing to innovative cinematic projects, television series or new media concepts. Students work in planning and pre-production, script development, directing as well as camera work or in post-production. Alternatively, there is the possibility of directly completing a Master's programme, which qualifies students for management tasks in the creative industry, but also for activities in research and development.

Structure

In seven semesters, the modules of the Bachelor's programme Motion Pictures teach the requirements specified by the job description. The students deal with media design, media technology, media management, media theory, media psychology and media law. In addition, elective subjects allow for intensive study of special topics. In the In the fourth semester, students complete the practical phase. Teaching takes place in an international environment and largely in English. In the last semester, students work on their Bachelor's thesis. A detailed description of the course content can be found in the module manual (German).

Access

The central component of the selection process is the aptitude test. This consists of a technical interview, the completion of special papers and the solution of given tasks in the practical part. A prerequisite for admission is also a Fachhochschulreife or, alternatively, a special artistic aptitude. The latter is considered proven if the aptitude test is passed with at least 90 points. In addition to sufficient German, applicants should have a good command of English. An internship is part of the entry requirements. Please inform yourself at mp.mediencampus.h-da.de.

The following degrees, among others, are valid as admission prerequisites:

  • General higher education entrance qualification
  • Subject-related higher education entrance qualification valid in Hesse
  • University of Applied Sciences entrance qualification valid in Hesse
